Who We Are

History and Mission

Our History

Over forty years ago, NESA chose a different way to get older. We began with a simple premise: fun has no expiration date. Fun keeps you young. When we learn, play, build, eat, dance and travel together, we are happier and healthier. We live longer. We live more meaningfully. With the support from the City of Edmonton and the Northgate Lions, our association has grown to be the city's largest seniors recreation centre. We invite you to visit us to see just how much fun awaits you!

We are proud to offer a two-storey venue that offers a large multi-purpose auditorium space for sports, dance, and many other activities, a fully-equipped fitness centre, and over twenty multi-purpose rooms for our extensive performing and visual arts programs. We even have a cafe situated inside where the coffee is always fresh and the most delicious treats await!

Fun keeps you young.

North Edmonton Seniors Association is a board of volunteers. It’s a wonderfully equipped building with hundreds of affordable clubs and programs. And it’s an invitation, from 2,000 of us to you, that promises your next 20 years can be as fulfilling and exciting as your previous 20. Ask our members and you’ll hear the same thing, over and over: NESA changed my life.
